Africa Day Celebrations at MIC
The Africa Day celebrations at MIC began with a lively program led by the Kindergarten students. Each class presented vibrant African dances, showcasing the continent's rich cultural heritage. As part of the festivities, each section selected a pair of students—one boy and one girl—dressed in the most charming traditional African attire. These stylishly dressed students were awarded by the School Administrator, Mr. Hussein Yahfoufi, the School Director, Mr. Mohammad Jamil Kassem, and the Kindergarten Principal, Ms. Juliet Upano.
Following the Kindergarten performances, the Primary students took the stage with a program that introduced a unique twist while still highlighting traditional African dances. The selection of "Mr. and Miss Africa" involved fashion and a short question-and-answer segment, making the competition both fun and educational.
Here are the winners of the "Mr. and Miss Africa" contest from the Primary School:
- Grade 1: Khalif Yussuf and Carla Casaman
