MIC MUN 2025
Model United Nations (MUN) simulations are dynamic platforms that annually engage hundreds of thousands of students around the globe. These immersive experiences offer a unique window into the workings and principles of the United Nations, serving as a training ground for future leaders in fields such as law, government, business, and the arts. Many prominent figures today trace their early development back to MUN. (Model United Nations | United Nations)
Organizing a successful MUN conference is no small task. It requires a well-connected network of schools, enthusiastic and organized students, and informed parents who understand the purpose and value of participation. It's a collective effort—collaboration is at its core, and the shared success of the event brings fulfillment to everyone involved: students, educators, parents, and host institutions alike.
For educators, the ultimate goal is student growth. MUN fosters essential skills such as public speaking, research, and negotiation; it builds leadership and inspires a deep global awareness and responsibility. Far more than just an academic event, MUN is a transformative experience with a lasting impact.
From May 30 to June 1, Maputo International College will proudly host its Model United Nations Conference. Spearheaded by Secretaries-General Thulane Sitoe and Tanaya Cumbana, this year’s conference will feature six diverse committees, including the exciting United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA).
Registration is still open, and schools and students are warmly invited to be part of this enriching international event.
